Yoon & Yang LLC was recently honored as the “Litigation Law Firm of the Year” at Korea Law Awards 2017 by Asian Legal Business, a globally renowned legal industry publication.

This year’s event was held at Grand Hyatt Seoul on November 16, 2017 with more than 150 lawyers from in-house legal teams and domestic and international law firms in attendance. The Korea Law Awards annually recognizes the outstanding legal practitioners from law firms and in-house legal teams on 34 categories. The senior lawyers from various law firms and in-house legal teams as well as the research staff at ALB evaluate significant deals and cases of the past year to determine the award winner for each category.

Yoon & Yang’s strength in litigation was recognized by Asian Legal Business as a result of obtaining successful results in numerous high-profile cases last year, including the representation of MAN Truck & Bus Korea against the Korea Fair Trade Commission regarding the annulment of 116 billion KRW in administrative surcharges in front of the Supreme Court, and the representation of the Korean government in its WTO dispute against the United States regarding the anti-dumping and countervailing duties imposed on large residential washers produced by Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics.
