TPC Mechatronics Corporation and KCC Co., Ltd. on behalf of nine air-operated valve manufacturers in Korea argued that the Korean industry suffered financial losses due to the dumping of Japanese products and two companies applied for an anti-dumping investigation by the Korea Trade Commission (KTC) on December 23, 2013. Since the launch of the investigation on February 21, 2014, the KTC conducted field investigations and hearings targeting Korean manufacturers, Japanese suppliers, importers and purchasers for a year. On January 20, 2015, the KTC finally determined that the dumping of Japanese air operated valves actually caused damage to the Korean industry and announced its plan to request that the Minister of Strategy and Finance impose anti-dumping duties at 11.66% to 23.97% for 5 years. In this case Yoon & Yang LLC successfully represented TPC Mechatronics Corporation and KCC Co., Ltd.
