Young Hyun Kim is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC, and his main practice areas are criminal law and financial and capital markets.
After completing his training at the Judicial Research & Training Institute, Mr. Kim started his public service career as a prosecutor at the Suwon District Prosecutor’s Office. Thereafter, he served as a prosecutor at the Changwon District Prosecutor’s Office (Tongyeong Branch), Uijeongbu District Prosecutor’s Office, and Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office, Busan District Prosecutor’s Office (Dongbu Branch), and Seoul Eastern District Prosecutor’s Office, etc. Mr. Kim also held various positions upon being dispatched, such as the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office (research officer), the Financial Supervisory Service (legal advisor), the Seoul Southern District Prosecutor’s Office (head of the Joint Investigation Team on Securities Crime), the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office (head of the 2nd Joint Investigation Team on Defense Industry Corruption), the Jeonju District Prosecutor’s Office (head of the Jeongeup Branch), and the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office (chief prosecutor of the Foreign Criminal Affairs Division). After retiring from the public service as a prosecutor at the Daegu High Public Prosecutor’s Office, he joined Yoon & Yang LLC.
