YOON&YANG
Grounded on Yoon & Yang’s chance to provide legal advice to a large domestic IT company that faced a lawsuit in the U.S., Yoon & Yang started to conduct forensic tasks in 2014, and launched the digital forensic center in September, 2019. Yoon & Yang’s digital forensic center engages in the ① elimination of risks and compliance support by conducting preemptive digital forensics; and ② tasks necessary to respond to investigation initiated by regulatory authorities such as the police/prosecutor’s office, KFTC, and the FSC.

There are 45 professionals that are part of the Yoon & Yang digital forensic center, including 27 partners, 3 forensic specialists and senior researchers, and approximately 15 professional reviewers.

Elimination of risks and compliance support by conducting preemptive digital forensics

  • ① Internal investigation of the company on issues such as embezzlement, breach of trust, sexual harassment, power abuse, workplace harassment, etc.; ② Investigation of the existence of any corporate accounting corruption pursuant to Article 22 of the External Audit Act; ③ Investigation of any unjust disclosure of trade secrets within the company; ④ Investigation of any company M&As; ⑤ Preliminary investigation related to the Fair Trade Act, such as collusion; ⑥ Confirmation of any personal information infringement, weaknesses in information security; and ⑦ Conducting tasks related to supporting corporate compliance such as giving advice and implementing forensics, improving the system, and education for companies
