Young Su Park is a partner at Yoon & Yang LLC, and his main practice area is corporate litigation.
After being admitted to the Korean bar in 2006 and completing his legal training at the Judicial Research and Training Center, he worked as a judge advocate of the Republic of Korea Army (Army Headquarters, 28th Infantry Division, Logistics Command) for three years. Since joining the firm in 2012, Young Su Park has handled various corporate litigations (civil and commercial affairs, management rights disputes and financial disputes, etc.) and provided clients with relevant legal advice. He also has broad experiences in white collar crimes such as embezzlement or breach of trust by the management of a company. After obtaining his LL.M. at University of Southern California Gould School of Law, he was seconded to the LA office of Blank Rome LLP before coming back to Yoon & Yang LLC. In 2022, he was chosen as Rising Star in the field of litigation by Legal Times.

  • Represented British American Tobacco Korea in the case where the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) sought compensation against tobacco companies regarding insurance payouts to lung cancer patients
  • Represented Asiana Airlines in litigation on payment of deposit in M&A with HDC
  • Represented Eastar Holdings in litigation on payment of deposit in M&A between Eastar Holdings and Jeju Air
  • Represented a subcontractor in the case where a guaranty insurance company sought compensation for insurance payouts it made to the insured (construction company) upon occurrence of an insured accident against the subcontractor; the Supreme Court reversed and remanded the lower courts’ decision on the ground that the fact that a rehabilitation procedure was commenced against a company did not constitute an “insured accident” (Supreme Court Decision 2018Da275574 rendered on February 27, 2020)
  • Represented a client in litigation on accounts receivables against companies located in the Gaeseong Industrial Complex in North Korea
